Professional statement

Kamisha Ford is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Kamisha is passionate about helping individuals experience healthy relationships with other people. She specializes in offering mental health services to individuals and couples experiencing sexual difficulties and relationship and intimacy issues, including those that identify as non-monogamous or polyamorous. She is a Sex Therapist who guides clients through how to build strong, healthy connections with those around them.

Therapy with Kamisha is nonjudgmental, transparent, and direct. Kamisha works with clients to grow their self-awareness, including the ability to reflect on their thoughts and feelings and better understand their emotions. She also teaches her clients and those in relationships to communicate in clear, effective ways that respect boundaries. For individuals who have a hard time enjoying sex or intimacy, Kamisha utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help them move past the difficult thought patterns that inhibit pleasure.

Kamisha earned her Master’s degree from the University of La Verne. Of high importance to Kamisha is that the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities have the opportunity to grow their mental health and sexual wellness through therapy. Her goal is to help clients establish their goals for themselves and their relationships, and then take steps towards reaching those goals.
