Michael Lydon, LCSW, brings more than eight years of specialization as an experiential, transformation-focused therapist. Michael works with growth-oriented adults looking to resolve patterns such as: anxiety, low self-worth, ADHD, and complex trauma from emotional, physical, or sexual abuse.
Michael was invited to contribute Chapter 21 to the 2024 edition of "Unlocking the Emotional Brain", an evidence-based therapy textbook by Bruce Ecker, Robin Ticic, and Laurel Hulley—widely regarded as "groundbreaking." Michael's chapter explores his client Jane’s transformative journey through resolving complex attachment trauma. Jaak Panksepp, PhD, founder of Affective Neuroscience, calls it: “Truly a revolutionary book.” Other reviews by therapists state, “No matter how good a therapist you already are, reading this book will make you better.”
Michael holds Advanced Certifications in Coherence Therapy, an evidence-based schema therapy, and Realization Process: a spiritually grounded somatic therapy. He is also a certified trauma therapist. If you are a purpose-driven seeker who feels stuck despite years of healing work, this approach may resonate.
Some therapies center on analysis and symptom management, which still leave the roots of suffering symptoms intact and do provide full relief. Michael's approach addresses emotional blocks at their core level. Each session focuses with compassion and precision into the actual hidden core beliefs and purposes that drive low self-worth, chronic anxiety, trauma-based imprints and other patterns.
Common client shifts include:
✅ Resolution of chronic emotional triggers, somatic tensions, and low self-worth—without ongoing effort to maintain changes
✅ Greater authenticity in relationships—healthier boundaries *and* deeper connection
✅ Increased sense of safety and comfort within oneself
✅ A spiritually rooted, fundamental sense of well-being (for those with this goal)
Michael offers therapy via Zoom for Massachusetts residents and coaching for those outside the state. If this approach speaks to you, schedule a free consultation to take the next step toward inner freedom and lasting relief.

Anxiety - I have successfully helped clients permanently shift out of chronic anxiety patterns related to early attachment trauma and low self-worth. When anxiety is not schema-related and has to do with relationship issues or other present-moment stress, I am equally confident in helping you orient to a clear path forward that aligns with your values.
Trauma - I have helped many clients find lasting relief from physical, sexual, and relational trauma. I have helped clients with complex attachment trauma break free from patterns of negative bonding.
Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - I have helped many clients resolve dissociation, hyper-activation and hypervigilance symptoms that affect the nervous system, rooted in the lingering impact of early life events.
Attachment issues - I have a great deal of experience in helping clients discover, integrate, and resolve their patterns of negative bonding, codependency, and imprints that remain from narcissistic caregiver relationships.
Mind-body connection - For 8+ years I have helped spiritually oriented adults move through "spiritual emergence" and "dark night of the soul" issues. Examples: helping clients feel more safe and present in their bodies, guiding the resolution of somatic constrictions, energy blocks, "kundalini syndrome" issues, and similar mind-body-spirit integration issues.
Somatization - Energy blocks and somatic tensions are often the result of suppressed emotions - commonly anger and grief. If you have a specific somatic symptom, we will start there, safely tune in until you can allow emotions or memories to unpack, and then we will uncover and resolve what you internalized from these memories that is in a holding pattern. I have found a highly reliable approach for resolving these types of issues, which can often feel more distressing due to their seemingly mysterious nature.
