Cheryl Pacione is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist based in Pleasantville, NY, but is currently accepting clients for virtual sessions from all around the globe, via Zoom or telephone. She has 25+ years of experience working with adolescents, adults and groups. She works with persons from young adults to seniors with a focus on transitions in areas of sexual identity, chronic illness, divorce, career concerns and racial identity. She has worked extensively with POC, LGBTQIA and persons with psychiatric and physical disabilities.
Her focus is on establishing trust and rapport in a non-judgmental, compassionate environment. Throughout the pandemic, she has been conducting online individual and group therapy with great success. Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) - Recovering from the impact of long-term, repeated traumatic events, such as emotional abuse and neglect
Abandonment issues - Developing an understanding of one’s abandonment issues, including their origins and how they impact relationships; practicing trust and growing confidence in relationships
Adjustment difficulties & disorders - Support around adapting to new and/or challenging life circumstances; skill-building for improved stress management and reduction of anxiety.
Depression - Providing support and promoting healing of hopelessness, low motivation and energy, sadness, irritability, sleep disturbance, and loss of interest and pleasure in life
