When clients visit Dr. Alcee, they’re often facing difficulties in navigating the transition to adulthood. Dr. Alcee helps clients confront these and additional stressors, such as perfectionism, in order to prioritize self-satisfaction and comfort. It is Dr. Alcee’s goal that clients who are struggling to determine their meaningful path in life are able to chart a course that blends their passions and interests with their values and personality.

He greatly enjoys working with creative professionals, including musicians, actors, and singers, helping them find their personal link between between the artistic and psychological processes. He looks forward to working with you at his office in Tarrytown.

Message to clients

My goal from the very first session is to help you see and feel something new that you didn’t fully put together, and to help you see the artistic connections your psyche has been waiting for you to make.

We’ll do that with freewheeling metaphors and images that help you illuminate what has been happening inside that’s been so confusing. As a big fan of movies, music, and literature, I’ll draw on references far and wide to help us connect to the heart of the matter for you.

In the process, you’ll come away forgetting about your problems and marveling at how much fun it is to discover new possibilities together.
