Professional statement

Frady Zeidman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York who works with clients for topics including anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential crises.

Many individuals who seek Fraidy's support are in the midst of a major life transition, such as transitioning into or out of a relationship, adjusting to parenting for the first time, or changing careers. Other clients are struggling with the ongoing stressors of perfectionism, anxiety, depression, or related fears and anxieties. Still others are facing past traumas in order to forge a new path in their here and now.

In addition to her work with individuals, Fraidy also works with couples, helping them navigate such general relationship issues as communication difficulties and regaining connection. She is highly trained in utilizing emotional-focused therapy (EFT), an evidence-based approach with the goal of empowering clients with skills for a happy and enduring marriage that lasts long past the duration of counseling sessions.

Outside of private practice, Fraidy's experience includes numerous years working with children, adolescents, women, and couples. She's also worked as a mental health counselor in both schools and outpatient clinics, and she teaches at the university level helping students better understand their clients and build on their strengths.

Fraidy's approach blends EFT with Gestalt, Somatic, and Insight-oriented approaches. It is her hope that her clients walk away with a new perspective and deeper understanding of themselves, and the skills to navigate their lives, and their relationships. She looks forward to meeting you.
