Dr. Laura Eidlitz is a Clinical Psychologist in Midtown, Manhattan who specializes in trauma, including sexual assault and sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, relationships, and self-esteem. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples.
Dr. Eidlitz’s treatment approach is grounded in insight-focused therapies, including Psychoanalytic Therapy, Supportive Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). She takes a non-confrontational approach and strives to make sure clients feel safe and supported as they explore what triggers their symptoms. When working with clients with anxiety, Dr. Eidlitz also incorporates exposure-based therapy to help clients set goals for outside of sessions. She also frequently utilizes mindfulness practices to help them learn how to better manage their symptoms.
When working with clients with a history of trauma, Dr. Eidlitz lets them take the lead and only share what they are comfortable with. She helps her clients set appropriate pacing and ensures they are functioning between sessions.
Dr. Eidlitz’s warmth and compassion are apparent the moment a client walks through her door. She received her PhD from Adelphi University. Her office is conveniently located near the 28th. Street-Broadway and 33rd Street subway stations. She looks forward to meeting you.
