Aurora Center NYC is a team of expert therapists, all of whom are extensively trained in an integrative approach to treatment; we have a strong focus on evidence-based treatment with a strong focus on flexible and responsive care that we adapt to fit the needs of each individual. Aurora represents the chance for renewal and the belief that no matter how dark the day has been before, a new dawn will come. The colors of Aurora Eating Disorder Treatment Center are yellow and gray — yellow to represent the dawn of a new day and a chance to try again, gray to represent the in-between space in which we all must learn to live sometimes. Aurora is designed to be a refuge — a safe space, where each person is treated as an individual, not just a patient, and where whole recovery becomes not only a possibility, but a reality.
At Aurora Center NYC, fees for treatment services are clear and transparent with no hidden fees or add-on costs. Clients pay us directly for all treatment services rendered, however many of our clients have found that treatment at our New York City eating disorder clinic is often reimbursable by most insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. We offer support and advocacy around insurance reimbursement to ensure that you are able to utilize your benefits to the fullest extent possible, however it is the responsibility of the individual patient and family to pay for all services received. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, credit card, debit card, and medical flexible spending account debit cards.
As part of our mission of caring for our community and commitment to healing, we reserve a limited number of slots for individuals experiencing financial hardship and provide reduced fee treatment on an as-needed basis.
