Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified, PMHNP-BCJenn Ray is a Columbia trained pharmacologist and therapist with expertise in the treatment of depression and anxiety. She also enjoys working with clients with other conditions, including ADHD and OCD. She has a particular interest in working with those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Exploring options for mental health care can be a difficult step to take and a daunting task. Jenn takes an open approach that emphasizes the client feeling comfortable and listened to without judgment.
Utilizing a comprehensive and integrated approach to mental health treatment, Jenn begins with a careful exploration of a client’s background, personal history, and symptoms. Treatment most frequently involves tailored medication treatment combined with supportive therapy.
Jenn aspires to provide each client with the information and understanding they need to make informed decisions. Her goal is to partner with clients in developing treatment plans that support their wellness goals and to create a space for growth.
In addition to her background in outpatient psychiatry, Jenn has training and experience in a range of organizations including Columbia University Medical Center and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. She has also worked in psychiatric rehabilitation settings in both New York and Israel. Additionally, Jenn has served as a supervisor in psychopharmacology at the Columbia University School of Nursing and enjoys educating future colleagues, as well as clients, about mental health diagnosis and treatment. In addition to her experience as a pharmacologist, Jenn has received a Master of Social Work degree, also from Columbia University, specializing in mental health.
Jenn’s practice is located at Integrative Psych in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.
