Connect with others who have experienced sexual trauma and challenge feelings of loneliness and secrecy. If it is the time to share your story with others, to witness, and to be witnessed in your healing, then this is the group for you.
Learn how to manage triggers, feelings of vulnerability, and difficulties talking about or expressing your experiences. Go beyond the limitations of words and explore your story with creative arts-based expression, using your unique creative process to find new resources for resiliency.
This therapy group incorporates grounding techniques and mind-body tools for coping, fostering inner connection, and connecting with outer expression.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in performance as therapy by sharing their story, or a creative representation of their story, at a virtual event on December 10, 2020 in partnership with Awakenings.
This event is voluntary, has no fee, and is not required to participate in this therapy group. For those that wish to participate, one individual therapy session is required and one post-performance group session is encouraged.
Led by dance/movement therapist, Julie Brannen, LPC, R-DMT, and art therapist, Jacqueline Swietochowski, ATR
